KFC Serves Up New Kentaco in Singapore

KFC offers up the new Kentaco over in Singapore. Like Taco Bell's Naked Chicken Chalupa, it's a taco with a fried chicken taco shell.

Specifically, the Kentaco features a chicken filet marinated and breaded with the Colonel's special seasoning and then deep-fried. It comes filled with cheese sauce, shredded cheese, lettuce, and diced tomatoes.

This is not the first time that KFC has offered a taco with a fried chicken taco shell. Last year, they introduced a similar menu item in the Philippines but called it the "Chaco" (a combination of "chicken" and "taco"). While the Chaco looks more like the shell of a Naked Chicken Chalupa, the Kentaco (a portmanteau of "Kentucky" and "taco") appears more similar to KFC's fried chicken.

While Taco Bell once operated in Singapore, they exited the country in 2008. KFC and Taco Bell are both owned by Yum! Brands.
