McDonald's Japan Tries New, Healthier Vegetable Chicken Patty

The latest out of McDonald's Japan is a combination vegetable and chicken patty that's available in a burger as well as a breakfast sandwich.

The grilled patty features a blend of chicken with corn, edamame, and carrots. It's being positioned as a healthier option as well as a way to get kids to eat their veggies.

The Vegetable Chicken Burger includes the patty, lettuce, tomato, and a special vegetable sauce made with tomato, onion, and paprika on a bakery-style bun. There's also a kid's version with a chicken vegetable patty and ketchup on a plain bun.

The Vegetable Chicken Muffin features the new patty, lettuce, and vegetable sauce on a toasted English muffin.

Also being offered at the same time as the new chicken vegetable patty is a new side salad with basil sauce. It includes a blend of lettuce, purple cabbage, red pepper, and corn with a creamy basil sauce.
