Review: Chick-fil-A - Hash Brown Scramble Bowl

Chick-fil-A's Hash Brown Scramble Bowl features hash brown tots, scrambled eggs, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, and a choice of either sliced chicken nuggets or sausage. Jalapeno salsa is included on the side.

I ordered one with chicken nuggets for $4.09.

As you might expect, the Hash Brown Scramble Bowl doesn't bring much newness to the table but delivers a good portion of your breakfast staples.

The eggs were the most abundant ingredient and contributed a nice fluffiness, while the tots added an enjoyable crunch and the requisite potato notes. The cheese was a bit more scattered with a mild flavor but was thoroughly melted.

The chicken didn't quite mesh with the potatoes and eggs. It didn't offer quite enough of a punch to stand out the way bacon or sausage does. Still, it delivered a light crispiness, a good amount of protein, and was tasty on its own.

Given the lack of "oomph" with the chicken, the jalapeno salsa becomes necessary for the Hash Brown Scramble Bowl. It livened things up with a robust tanginess as well as a decent kick of spicy heat.

Well, it comes down to it Chick-fil-A's Hash Brown Scramble Bowl with chicken nuggets is well made but the combination comes off as a little too plain but adding the salsa or another sauce of your own makes it work out rather well.
