Review: Doritos - Spicy Sweet Chili Flavored Chips

Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili seems to be inspired by Thai sweet chili sauce offering a blend of savory spiciness with sweet in a crunchy Doritos chip.

A bag retails at my local supermarket for $4.29 but I bought this one on sale for $2.50

These chips hint at the pungent vinegary smell of soy sauce and indeed you'll find soy sauce listed among the ingredients. Not your typical Doritos ingredient which tend more towards cheeses and/or tomatoes. these are pretty interesting and tasty to boot.

The flavor reminds me of a slightly sweet garlic soy marinade with a mild kick of heat at the tail end. It's savory, spicy, and sweet.

If you're looking for a novel Doritos flavor to try that's pretty unique, you should give Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili tortilla chips a try. They're different but good.
