While Taco Bell has offered two different version of the Doritos Locos Tacos (Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch), the test marks the first time that they're tinkering with what goes inside the shell.
The tacos feature the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco shell, but filled with a new shredded chicken rather than the standard seasoned ground beef. The "fiery" comes from a new Fiery Sauce and is accompanied by the standard shredded lettuce and grated cheddar cheese. Like the original, a Supreme version is also available and adds diced tomatoes and sour cream.
Since it's a test, I'm almost 100% sure that Taco Bell is offering it at a lowered price to encourage customers to try it: the regular version is offered at 79 cents and the Supreme version is offered at 99 cents. If the Fiery Chicken Doritos Locos Taco makes it out of test and goes national, look for it to be more in line with the regular Doritos Locos' pricing at $1.39 and $1.69 respectively.
That's a long name.
ReplyDeleteRight? I always thought "Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos" was already pretty long.
