Review: Starbucks - Chestnut Praline Latte

Starbucks' Chestnut Praline Latte combines espresso, steamed milk, and a spiced caramelized chestnut syrup for a wintry drink. It comes topped with whipped cream and spiced praline crumbs.

A 12-oz Tall was $4.15.

The spiced praline crumbs become less apparent compared to the Frappuccino version, since they melt into the hot coffee. However, freed from icy confines, the flavors surge forth for a warm roastiness, and the sugary sweetness of the cold version is pushed to the backburner. There's also a little bit of a charred note that was probably from the espresso.

Overall, Starbucks' Chestnut Praline Latte was pretty good and more fitting for the cold winter months. I really like that underlying roasted quality.
