Review: Trader Joe's - Pumpkin O's Cereal

Trader Joe's Pumpkin O's cereal is a seasonal, toasted cereal made with brown rice, oats, and pumpkin.

A 12-oz box was $2.49. The box is a bit oversized for 12-ounces as the bag inside is only about two-thirds full or so.

O's are Trader Joe's version of Cheerios, but these end up tasting more like Apple Jacks due to the presence of cinnamon. They also feel just slightly airier than Cheerios.

When eaten dry, there's a mild pumpkin flavor touched with cinnamon and just a bit of sugar. The pumpkin tastes gets a lot stronger and opens up in milk though, while the cinnamon takes a back seat. It's pretty interesting how different these taste in and out of milk. They hold up pretty well in milk and don't go soggy quickly.

Overall, Trader Joe's Pumpkin O's cereal is pretty good. They remind me of a less sweet, pumpkin version of Apple Jacks.
