Review: Smartfood Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Popcorn

Smartfood Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Popcorn is a limited-edition holiday flavor that features popcorn with the flavor of hot cocoa with marshmallows.

A 6.25-oz bag goes for a suggested price of $5.19 but I received this courtesy of Smartfood.

Popping open the bag (pun intended) freed a sweet cocoa aroma that reminded me of Cocoa Puffs cereal.

The appearance isn't great as it just looks like popcorn that's been rolled around in the dirt (which is understandable given the cocoa powder).

In flavor, there's a slightly creamy, sweet cocoa flavor round out with a mellow marshmallow note. I wasn't sure I liked it all that much at first but it grew on me.

Overall, Smartfood Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Popcorn made for a nice holiday treat, especially if you like the fluffy, crispy texture of popcorn paired with a sweet chocolaty flavor that's just slightly creamy.
