With 2023 just about in the books, I put together a list of the top ten most-read fast food reviews on BrandEating in 2023. Interestingly enough some of them weren't written this year so I guess some of my reviews have some staying power. Thank you all for reading. Here we go:
1. Panera - Chicken Tikka Masala Soup - I did not think a Panera list would have topped the list but here we are. I guess it got a bit of a head start though as it was written in January.
2. Little Caesars - Pretzel Crust Pizza (2023) - Again, a bit of a "huh?" The Pretzel Crust Pizza came out in 2014 and I reviewed it back then but they made some slight changes when they brought it back this year so I figured, "Why not?" Good decision on my part I guess?
3. KFC Chicken Nuggets - While these were technically new, they're also very similar to the KFC Bites they once offered and eventually discontinued.
4. McDonald's - "Hotter, Juicier, and Tastier" Double Cheeseburger - It was indeed hotter, juicier, and tastier but only marginally so. Still, better is better.
5. Papa Johns - NY Style Pizza - This one was from 2021 but still gets some eyeballs somehow.
6. Pizza Hut - Double Pepperoni Big New Yorker Pizza - Maybe there's a bit of nostalgia in play as a fair bit of popular reviews are for returning menu items.
7. KFC Wraps - Apparently, these are popular enough that they'll be adding more varieties going into 2024.
8. Domino's - Handmade Pan Pizza - This one comes all the way from 2012. It ended up sticking around while the Artisan pizzas went the way of the dodo.
9. KFC - Double Down (2023) - The chicken for the bun changed since it first came out and the shock factor and buzz has died down but it's still popular enough.
10. Review: Popeyes - Blackened Tenders - They only have these available at select locations now but they used to be available nationwide but you can still get the sandwich.
