The move follows a successful test at 160 McDonald’s restaurants in the Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky areas, which will continue to offer the donuts amid the national rollout.
The national rollout of Krispy Kreme donuts at McDonald's will start later this year. According to Krispy Kreme, the donut chain expects to double the points of access for its donuts upon the completion of the rollout.
McDonald's Krispy Kreme selection will include a trio of donuts that will be delivered each day to McDonald's restaurants. They'll be available a la carte or in a box of six throughout the day, while supplies last. The donuts include:
- Original Glazed Donut - A yeast ring donut covered in Krispy Kreme’s signature Original Glaze.
- Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Donut - An Original Glazed Donut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with rainbow sprinkles.
- Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Donut - A yeast shell donut dipped in chocolate icing and filled with Kreme filling.
