The first seafood offering from Zaxby's features butterfly shrimp breaded with garlic and onion powder, dipped in pepper and buttermilk, and then deep-fried.
Zaxby's Southern Fried Shrimp comes served with Zaxtail Sauce, a blend of the chain's signature Zax Sauce, cocktail sauce, and notes of horseradish.
Southern Fried Shrimp can be ordered a la carte or as part of a meal. The meal includes eight pieces of Southern Fried Shrimp, Zaxtail Sauce, Texas toast, crinkle fries, and a small drink. A side of four shrimp and Zaxtail sauce is available for $3.
As a promotion for the new menu item, Zaxby's is offering a free side of four Southern Fried Shrimp with a $5 purchase through March 31, 2024, to Zax Rewardz members.
