Starbucks Debuts New Layered Butterscotch Frappuccino in Japan

Starbucks Japan's Caramelly Milk Coffee Frappuccino.
Starbucks debuts a new, layered butterscotch Frappuccino in Japan. They're calling it, the "Caramelly Milk Coffee Frappuccino."

The Caramelly Milk Coffee Frappuccino features a blend of coffee, milk, white chocolate, vanilla flavor, and ice, poured over a layer of fresh cream and white chocolate syrup. The cup is drizzled with caramelized butterscotch sauce flavored with a shot of espresso and the drink comes topped with coffee-flavored whipped cream.

The price tag on a Tall Starbucks Caramelly Milk Coffee Frappuccino comes out to 690 yen (~$4.55 US). The blended ice drink is available for a limited time through April 9, 2024, while supplies last.

The new Frappuccino is a riff on the Creamy & Sweet Milk Coffee that was released in Japan last spring.

"Milk coffee" in Japan generally refers to a combination of milk, coffee, and sugar. It can be found in cans in vending machines, convenience stores, and supermarkets. Here in the Los Angeles area, you can easily find the canned version in many Asian supermarkets.
