News: Taco Bell - Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco Coming March 7

For those of you wondering when the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco is coming out, you can stop. Taco Bell has set a date and the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco arrives Thursday, March 7, 2013.

The Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco is basically a regular Taco Bell Crunchy Taco with a shell of Doritos Cool Ranch chips. It's available in regular or supreme versions: regular features seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce and cheese, while Supreme adds sour cream and tomatoes on top of that.

The suggested retail price for the taco will be $1.39 for the regular version and $1.69 for the Supreme version.

A $5 Buck Box will also be offered and will include a Cool Ranch Doritos Loco Taco Supreme, a Burrito Supreme, a Crunchy Taco, and a medium fountain drink.

With the Nacho Cheese version becoming the chain's most successful product launch ever, Taco Bell is planning on pushing this one with their "largest marketing campaign in history."

  1. I've definitely been waiting forever for this thing. If it's even half as good as the Nacho Cheese version it will still be the second best thing on Taco Bell's menu.

But now that the two most iconic Doritos flavors are out of the way, I wonder where they'll go from here. I'm personally hoping for Salsa Verde myself.

  2. Salsa Verde is a great idea, that's one of my favorite flavors and I could see it being great as a Taco Bell shell. This looks good too of course

  3. The Doritos Locos Taco is one of the most overrated fast food items I can recall, in my opinion. The cheese tastes nothing like a Doritos chip, and I prefer not to have nasty tasting cheese powder all over my fingers as well. I'd rather have an original taco shell any day over them.
