Stouffer's Targets Guys with New "Fit Kitchen" Frozen Meals

Stouffer's latest sub-line targets the male demographic with protein-heavy meals under the "Fit Kitchen" name.

Consumer research conducted by the brand showed that "men don't feel as though there are enough nutritious and satisfying options available in the frozen aisle," and this is their attempt to fill in that gap.

Each Fit Kitchen meal contains 25 or more grams of protein paired with complex carbs and vegetables (a pie chart on each meal shows that they roughly go for a 25% protein, 50% carbs, and 25% fat ratio).

The line currently consists of six options:

- Steak Fajita in smoked red chile sauce with a mix of red and green peppers and seasoned brown rice.

- Cilantro Lime Chicken with a black bean and corn mix, seasoned brown rice, and a verde (green) tomatillo sauce.

- Rotisserie Seasoned Turkey with a mix of diced red and skin sweet potatoes plus green beans.

- Monterey Chicken with diced red skin and sweet potatoes plus lightly buttered green beans with BBQ-style sauce.

- Bourbon Steak with chipotle mashed sweet potatoes plus seasoned broccoli and red peppers.

- Oven Roasted Chicken with diced red skin potatoes, seasoned broccoli, and a savory wine sauce.

The new meals are available nation-wide at a suggested retail price of $3.99.
