News: Caribou Coffee - 2012 Holiday Menu

Caribou Coffee's 2012 holiday menu introduces real caramel as an option for any drink and two new seasonal drinks.

Caribou's new caramel is made with real butter and cream for a purported "rich, thick, and deep caramel flavor."

This year's line up includes:

- New Salted Caramel Budino - sweet cream and espresso with caramel and a bit of salt, topped with a caramel mousse.

- New Salted Caramel Mocha - chocolate melted into steamed milk, mixed with espresso and a bit of salt, topped with caramel mousse.

Fa La Latte - steamed eggnog mixed with espresso and topped with whipped cream and nutmeg.

Ho Ho Mint Mocha - milk, dark, or white chocolate melted into steamed milk, mixed with mint syrup, topped with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy.

- Gingerbread - lightly-spiced gingerbread topped with buttercream icing.

Nutritional info not yet available at the time of this writing.

  1. Those are some ridiculous names (do people really want to order a "fa la latte" or a "ho ho mint mocha" in front of other people?)... that said, the drinks themselves are probably worth a try; I think Caribou does a better job than Starbucks when it comes to coffee and espresso drinks.

However, don't expect me to refer to these drinks as anything more than just "egg nog latte" or "mint mocha" while ordering.

  2. They don't have any in southern California (as far as I know) so I haven't been able to try. Haha, I'm sure some people order "fa lat latte" for giggles.
