News: Subway - May 2014 Featured $5 Footlong

Subway's Featured $5 Footlong for May 2014 is the Italian B.M.T. "B.M.T." initially stood for "Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit," which the sub was named after, and it used to be the chain's flagship sub (it would make more sense if the chain had actual locations in NY at the time). It was later changed to stand for "Biggest. Meatiest. Tastiest."

The B.M.T. is Subway's version of a classic Italian sub and features a base of Genoa salami, pepperoni, and Black Forest ham, along with your choice of cheese, veggies, condiments, and bread.

The $3 Six-Inch Select promotion continues its run with the Oven Roasted Chicken sub, which, as you can guess by the name, comes with oven roasted chicken plus your choice of cheese, veggies, condiments, and bread.

Avocados are in season and getting their annual promotional push. It's still the same $1 or $2 or so extra to get them on your sub though.

The new Flatizzas (review) are still being pushed but the "2 for $5" deal is gone, at least nationally.

The $3 Custom Breakfast Combo deal is also gone. With the "breakfast wars" heating up, I wouldn't be surprised if they come up with a replacement soon though.

The current Subway Kids Meal promotion is for the upcoming Maleficient movie (as in the villain from Disney's Sleeping Beauty) and a Maleficient reusable backpack comes with every Kids Meal.
