News: Domino's Pizza New Pizza Holdout Ad Campaign

Dominos is continuing its documentary-style ad campaign which started with the story behind redesign of their pizza focusing on lackluster consumer feedback.

The follow up to that campaign is Pizza Holdouts which uses the same documentary-style type ads to follow their over-the-top efforts to get three people who hadn't yet tried their new pizza to try it.

The full video centering the campaign is a little over 4 minutes and you can check it out after the jump.

In the interest of disclosure, while I have been curious, I still haven't tried their new pizza despite there being a Domino's within walking distance from my home.  I just haven't gotten around to it.

I have to say the first guy with the especially generic name, Bill Johnson, didn't exactly put on his yum face biting into the pizza but he did say he liked the sauce.

For a company going for a reality bent, there's a bit of hyperbole involved in saying, "There are only a handful of people who haven't tried the new Domino's Pizza."  While it's not different from any other claims in your typical ad, the point is Domino's ad is trying not to be the typical ad and it does clash a little with their message.
