Review: Krispy Kreme - Pumpkin Spice Donut

Krispy Kreme's Pumpkin Spice Donut is a seasonal donut that joins the glut of pumpkin items around this time of year.

It was $1.09 for a single Pumpkin Spice Donut.

As I cut one of these in half for picture taking purposes, the crumb looked a bit dry. Thankfully, it was a trick of the color and a finger poke revealed that it was indeed soft and moist.

Mostly Krispy Kreme's Pumpkin Spice Donut tasted like a fairly fresh, sweet, and yummy buttermilk donut. That being said, the pumpkin flavor was a bit lacking and hard to pick out over the very sweet glaze. The spice was there, but the pumpkin? Not so much.

Bottomline: Yummy buttermilk donut? Check! Pumpkin spice flavor? Yes on the spice but, very little on the pumpkin front.

  1. It looks good, shame about the lack of pumpkin flavour. I'd still take a spice flavour Krispy Kreme though, I wish they would do one in the UK! Was this a special donut for Thanksgiving?

  2. Pumpkin Donuts from Dunkin's are where it's AT. The calorie content is however something you don't want to know about. Ignorance is bliss.
