News: Taco Bell - Triple Steak Stack Returns

The Triple Steak Stack is back at Taco Bell for a limited time and is being promoted with a new chicken version, the Triple Chicken Stack.

Designed with the meat and cheese set in mind, the Triple Steak/Chicken Stack feature a triple portion (compared to a soft taco) of the chain's grilled steak or new shredded chicken (introduced this year) plus 3-cheese blend on a warm, toasted 9-inch bollillo flatbread.

The new entrees are available for $4.99 each or with a large fountain drink for $5.99.

Both versions are available for a limited time only.

I've tried the Triple Steak Stack previously but Taco Bell switched to a different steak recipe since then. The shredded chicken is the same you'd find in the Smothered Burrito. Since Taco Bell allows you to customize their menu items, you can also get a grilled chicken version.

  1. What we really want to know is how the two new value sandwiches taste stacked on top of each other :D

  3. It looks okay, but I can't imagine paying $5 for just this alone. Especially at Taco Bell, where you could stretch $5 into a lot.

  5. More pricey crap. I could get 5 Soft Taco's for that price.

  6. I think it's a great addition to the Dollar & More Menu. I don't recall McD's ever having tortilla chips on any of their sandwiches in the past so this is a refreshing change. Overall the sandwich has good tasty flavor and most definitely worth my buck.

  7. $4.99 is very pricey by Taco Bell standards. Still all that steak and cheese looks good...

  8. They hype up these things as they have a higher profit margin. Id only get one if I had a BOGO coupon.

As a fast food patriot, I was disappointed. The steak didn't fill up the flatbread and the cheese was almost non-existent. Don't let me down now, Taco Bell - I'm almost at my target weight of 600 pounds!

  10. They finally added this to the average menu. Here in Columbia (SC) we've had this burger for quite a few months now under the moniker 'southwest burger'.
