2013 Veterans Day Food Freebies

Here's a handy guide for veterans and active members of the U.S. military of the restaurants that appreciate their service and wish show that appreciation by offering free or discounted food in celebration of Veterans Day, this upcoming Monday, November 11.

Please do keep in mind that most of these offers are good for dine-in only and require proof of service such as a military or VA card or discharge papers.

Here they are in alphabetical order:

Applebee's - Free Signature Entree - "Veterans and active duty military enjoy a free Applebee's Signature Entree on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. Available during business hours on November 11, 2013, in all U.S. Applebee's restaurants. Dine in from limited menu only."

California Pizza Kitchen - Free Pizza - "On Monday, November 11, all veterans or active duty military personnel will be able to get any pizza from our menu for free (dine-in only). Guests must show military ID or other proof of service to participate. Offer valid at participating CPK restaurants, excluding Guam, airport, stadium and university locations."

Chili's - Free Meal - "As a thank you to all the veterans who have served as well as active-duty service men and women, we’re giving away a free meal – on us – this Monday, Nov. 11 from a special Veterans Day menu."

Denny's - All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes - "To thank America’s heroes for their endless dedication and service, Denny’s is giving away never-ending stacks of its famous buttermilk pancakes to active, inactive and retired military personnel on Monday, Nov. 11.

From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all participating Denny’s restaurants nationwide, diners with a valid military ID will receive free all-you-can-eat pancakes, complete with warm maple syrup and whipped butter."

Einstein Bros. Bagels and Noah’s New York Bagels - Free Bagel and Shmear - "This Veterans Day from 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., military guests are invited to visit participating Einstein Bros. or Noah’s Bagels location nationwide to receive a FREE Signature or Classic Bagel and Shmear, or any other topping, and no purchase is necessary."'

Hooters - Free Meal with any drink purchase - "Hooters is showing its gratitude for veterans and active duty military personnel this Veterans Day. On Monday, Nov. 11, Hooters invites all veterans and current servicemen and women to enjoy a free meal, up to $10.99 in value with any drink purchase, by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location across the country."

Krispy Kreme - Free Donut and Coffee - "On November 11, 2013, Krispy Kreme is honoring all veterans and active military personnel with a free doughnut and free small coffee for Veterans Day at Krispy Kreme at participating US locations. No purchase necessary."

Little Caesars - Free Crazy Bread - "Little Caesars Pizza is offering all United States armed forces veterans and active military members a free order of Crazy Bread with proof of military status at participating stores nationwide this Veterans Day."

Max & Erma's - Free Cheeseburger Combo Meal - "On Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, participating Max & Erma's locations will salute veterans and active military personnel with a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo meal.

Members of the armed forces will enjoy a cup of Max & Erma's signature Tortilla Soup or side house salad, a juicy, award-winning Cheeseburger hand-crushed from fresh, never frozen beef, with seasoned fries and one of Erma's fresh baked cookies."

O'Charley's - Free Meal - "On Monday, November 11, O’Charley’s will thank veterans and all active-duty military personnel by offering a complimentary meal on Veterans Day as part of the restaurant’s ongoing recognition of our nation’s servicemen and women.

With a military I.D. or other proof of service, veterans and active-duty servicemembers will have their choice of one of nine meals on the O’Charley’s “$9.99er” menu. Options include O’Charley’s Famous Chicken Tenders & Twisted Chips, Cowboy Sirloin, Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie and Santa Fe Tilapia, among others."

Olive Garden - Free Meal and 10% off for family - "This Veterans Day, all Veterans and current service members get a free meal from our special menu. Family dining with them will also receive 10% off their meal.

On the Border - Free Meal  -  "Veterans and all active military: this Veteran's Day, let us serve you. Enjoy a free meal from our Create Your Own Combo Menu.

Available at participating locations. Contact your local OTB for details."

Outback Steakhouse - Free Bloomin' Onion and drink - "We're saluting our Veterans & Active Military with a Free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage on Veterans Day."

Sizzler - Free Lunch -  "We are proud to honor our Veterans and active duty military with a free lunch on Monday, 11/11/13 until 4pm. Choose from 6oz. steak, Malibu Chicken or half dozen fried shrimp. *at participating locations."

Soup Plantation / Sweet Tomatoes - BOGO or 50% off meal - "Saturday, November 9,, Sunday, November 10 and Monday, November 11 – all current and former military personnel can eat free, with the purchase of one full price meal and 2 beverages; or can purchase a single meal at 50% off when you buy a refillable fountain beverage."

Starbucks - Free Tall Brewed Coffee - "This Veterans Day—a free tall brewed coffee for veterans, active duty military and their spouses in participating U.S. company-owned stores."

Texas Roadhouse - Free lunch on Monday, November 11, 11 am to 2 pm - "All veterans - including all active, retired or former U.S. military - can choose one of 10 entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/ice tea or coffee during lunch."

TGIF - Free lunch - "Vets and active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces, lunch is on us. Valid at participating locations on lunch menu items only from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013."

Tim Hortons - Free Donut - "In celebration of Veteran's Day we're giving all active and inactive U.S. military veterans a free donut on 11/11 when they show their military I.D. or are in uniform. No purchase necessary."
