News: Starbucks Testing Chestnut Praline Latte and Cherry Jubilee Mochas

Starbucks is testing a Chestnut Praline Latte and a Cherry Jubilee Mocha in select (but separate) markets as potential future holiday drinks.

The Chestnut Praline Latte is a latte (espresso and steamed milk) with chestnut praline syrup topped with whipped cream and crushed spiced praline.

The Cherry Jubilee Mocha is a mocha (espresso, steamed milk, and mocha sauce) with cherry syrup topped with whipped cream, a dusting of cocoa powder, and a cherry drizzle.

According to Starbucks superfan blog Starbucks Melody, the Cherry Jubilee Mocha is being tested in Orlando and Tampa while the Chestnut Praline Latte is being tested in select locations in Indianapolis, Wichita, and Baltimore.

To the dismay of some, the Chestnut Praline Latte has displaced the Gingerbread Latte at some (but not all) of the test locations.

  1. Where's the beef? It looks just awful!

  2. We were literally sent "loaves" of frozen middle buns for the Big King. They aren't delivered to us fresh like the whopper/burger/original chicken buns.

Personally I can't stand the sauce and the sandwich as a whole just feels like a shameless rip off. The advertising we have in-store just says "It's better flame-broiled", which sounds like BK is saying "anything you can do I can do better!".
