Pizza Hut's 3-Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza is the chain's newest pizza innovation. It's similar to Stuffed Crust Pizza but features pockets of white cheddar, mozzarella, and provolone rather than a smooth ring of enclosed mozzarella.
I picked up a large pizza topped with Italian sausage for $12.
I'm pretty sure they make the pizza with the same dough as their Hand-Tossed and original Stuffed Crust, but the pizza I got had a really nice, crispy shell to the crust. The thin-crispy layer gave way to a soft, chewy crumb underneath and the overall effect felt more like pizza than the breadstick crust I'm used to from Pizza Hut.
It still ends up tasting a lot like the plain mozzarella of the original Stuffed Crust though. The cheese blend might be a bit more salty but is mostly mozzarella that comes through with very little in the way of white cheddar or provolone notes. If they really wanted to make something different from the original Stuffed Crust, they should have added some Italian seasoning or garlic butter to the cheese.
Overall, I enjoyed Pizza Hut's 3-Cheese Stuffed Crust for the thin, crispy shell of the end crust which may or may not be by design. Other than that, I liked it because I like Pizza Hut's original Stuffed Crust and the 3-Cheese Stuffed Crust is much the same.
