Review: Starbucks - Cranberry Bliss Bar

Starbucks' Cranberry Bliss Bar is a holiday-seasonal dessert bar of blondie cake topped with cream cheese icing, dried cranberries, and white orange drizzle.

It was $2.45 for one triangular bar.

The cream cheese frosting wasn't overly sweet but combined with the orange-flavored drizzle and cranberries, delivers a potent punch of sweet creaminess.

The drizzle misses on the telltale slightly bitter flavor of orange zest and instead adds a generic tanginess that merges with that of the cream cheese.

For cranberry fans, there are plenty of; they're interspersed in the cake and sprinkled on top as well.

The cake texture was a little chewy and oily. It wasn't quite a brownie but not quite a cake either, sitting somewhere between the two.

Overall, Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar might be for you if you have a reasonable sweet tooth and prefer tangy baked desserts. It doesn't quite hit the right notes for me though and is generally too sweet. I'd guess it's more for people who long for cranberries around the holidays, but I eat Craisins year round.
