I bought one for 60 cents but they can also be had at 3 for $1.25 (may vary).
The cookie had a nice crust and color to it.
Biting into it yielded an enjoyable spiced ginger/brown sugar flavor that felt just a tad more intense than the typical gingerbread cookie.
The inside of the cookie was super moist and mushy, like it was possibly undercooked but it didn't taste raw. The mushy quality left the cookie feeling more like a dense cake or brownie with a thin, crispy crust than a cookie.
Overall, I still enjoyed Subway's Gingerbread for the pleasant and strong gingerbread flavor and the satisfying crust. While I liked the moisture of the center, it could have used some firming up.

I jumped on this the other day to feed the family. Ordered 4 of their American Legend pizzas and saved $35. Now that's saving!
ReplyDeleteSubway cookies are delicious, yet I never see anyone else besides me order them. Presumably because it's Subway and a lot of people eat there to balance out their cookie intake =D
ReplyDeleteI suppose that's part of it.. for me when I go to the Subway I'm just thinking of getting a quick sandwich, by the time I think of sides or dessert I'm out the door. It's kind of like their soup, I don't think I've ever seen anybody get it. I've got the cookies once or twice, I thought they were good but about the same as any other cookie I've gotten at a fast food place.
ReplyDeleteOh my god these cookies are awesome... If I could find a recipe for these I would be in heaven
ReplyDeleteThe gingerbread cookies are uber amazing. I just ate three...lol.
