McDonald's Launches New Grilled Chicken with No Preservatives or Artificial Flavors

McDonald's has gone back to the drawing board with their grilled chicken and come up with a new version that's free of preservatives and artificial flavors.

Additionally, the new chicken comes grilled with an herb seasoning that lists parsley, garlic and onion powder, salt, sugar, lemon juice, and honey among the ingredients.

The new grilled chicken replaces the previous version and can be found in McDonald's new Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich, salads, and wraps.

The new grilled chicken sandwich replaces the Premium Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich. Beyond the new grilled chicken, the new sandwich includes a few other notable changes: vinaigrette dressing instead of mayo and the adoption of the artisan roll from the Bacon Clubhouse burger.

The new grilled chicken and sandwich rolls out starting this month.

For comparison, I've included the ingredients of the previous grilled chicken and the new chicken:

Previous McDonald's Grilled Chicken Ingredients: Chicken Breast Fillet with Rib Meat, Water, Seasoning (Rice Starch, Salt, Sugar, Yeast Extract, Canola Oil, Onion Powder, Maltodextrin, Chicken Skin, Paprika, Flavor, Sunflower Oil, Chicken, Garlic Powder, Chicken Fat, Spices), Sodium Phosphates.

New Grilled Chicken Ingredients: Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast with Rib Meat, Water, Salt, Vegetable Starch, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Honey, Onion Powder, Dried Vinegar, Natural Flavor (Plant Source), Baking Soda.
