Subway Tests "Off-The-Menu Specials"

Subway recently launched new "Off-The-Menu Specials" here in Southern California in what looks to be a regional test.

The menu consists of three subs that were apparently "inspired & created" by Subway sandwich artists.

The subs include the Autumn Apple Chicken, Roasted Peppi, and Spicy Nacho Steak.

The Autumn Apple Chicken features roasted chicken, bacon, apple slices, Swiss cheese, and barbecue sauce.

The Roasted Peppi is a flatbread sub filled with roast beef, pepperoni, pepper jack cheese, and veggies.

The Spicy Nacho Steak includes steak, Doritos Nacho cheese-flavored tortilla chips, green bell peppers, onions, jalapenos, and Monterey Jack-cheddar cheese blend.

A 6" is $5.25 at my local Subway, while a footlong is $8.50. The subs can also be had as a salad for $7.50.

Most of the featured ingredients are part of the regular menu ingredients except for apple slices and Doritos chips.
