Schwan's Launches New Bon Appetit Line of Gourmet Pizzas

Schwan's looks to supplement their portfolio of frozen pizza brands with a new line of gourmet pizzas under the "Bon Appetit" name.

The company describes the new line as "especially for those who appreciate fine food and the good times in life. Bon Appétit thin crust pizza is crafted for the consumer who wants to connect and linger over a delicious meal at home."

The new pizza line features a thin, "artisan" crust measuring 10" across, real cheese, and sauce made from vine-ripened tomatoes. Bon Appetit pizzas come in five varieties:

- Mozzarella & Pesto - tangy basil pesto, sliced mozzarella, and cherry tomatoes.

- Spinaci - mozzarella, Asiago and Parmesan cheese, spinach, and garlic sauce.

- Pepperoni & Pesto - pepperoni, basil pesto, and a zesty herb blend, plus a blend of mozzarella, Provolone, and Parmesan cheeses.

- Roasted Vegetable - fire-roasted tomatoes, red onion and red, green and yellow bell peppers, along with a blend of mozzarella, Romano, and Parmesan cheeses.

- Trio Bacon - Canadian bacon, traditional bacon and Pancetta, caramelized sweet onions, and mozzarella cheese.

The new brand started rolling out in February and can be found in the freezer section of grocery and retail stores nationwide.

Schwan's also makes Red Baron, Freschetta, and Tony's brand pizzas.
