News: McDonald's - New Fish McBites

Fish McBites have arrived at McDonald's! At least they're arrived at my local area McDonald's restaurants anyway. It looks like they're doing a staggered national rollout with TV spots and other various advertisements to come mid-February.

The fish version of Chicken McBites was tested around this time last year in select markets and did well enough to warrant a national launch.

The dish features breaded, bite-sized pieces of Alaskan Pollock and comes with tartar sauce for dipping.

Prices (may vary) are: $2.29 for a "snack" size, $3.39 for a "regular" size, and $5.49 for a "shareable" size. They'll also be available as part of a Happy Meal later on in the month for $4.19 (may vary).

It looks like they'll be offering a promotion starting 2/22/13 and running through 3/29/13 (Update: it looks like only my local McDonald's is offering the promotion for that long) where you can get a snack size portion of Fish McBites for $1.

Update 2/12/13: It looks like in most markets, the $1 Snack Size promotion is only good from 2/12 - 2/14.

  1. I might try them when they go on sale for $1, but otherwise I can't say I'm terribly excited to try them.
