I thought you guys might be interested in a closer look, so here we go:
The "Breakfast After Midnight" menu centers around the McMuffin (if you want biscuits, you're going to have to wait till after 4 am); probably because you just have to toast them.
For some reason, you can get them with sausage, but not bacon (I'm going to guess the reason is sausage holds better in a warmer where bacon loses that desirable crispness). So your McMuffin options are: the Egg Muffin, Sausage McMuffin, and Sausage McMuffin with Egg.
Hash Browns? They're on the menu.
Also available are Hotcakes with Sausage, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, Sausage Burritos, and the entire selection of McDonald's regular and McCafe beverages (that includes orange juice, smoothies and frappes).
In Utah, you can also get a Sausage McGriddle...
The airtight restrictions on McDonald's breakfast availability always seemed arbitrary, especially with Jack in the Box doing it 24/7 and pleasing a ton of twentysomething schlubs at 2am. The McDonald's a stones throw from my high school when I was a teen had a Quarter Pounder meal special for $2.99 after 11pm. That ... that was splendid.
ReplyDeleteIt might... McDonald's is looking to expand 24-hour service to more of their restaurants.
ReplyDeleteWhat city are they testing this in?
ReplyDeleteThey have this at a couple of locations near me in Vancouver, WA. They don't have a menu posted for it, but they told me it's just McMuffins and burritos. I have had a McMuffin during these hours a few times but they've been unsatisfactory. The muffin is never toasted to give it crispy edges and the sausage is under-done.
ReplyDeleteBoth of the McDonald's closest to me in Tuscaloosa, AL have breakfast after midnight. There are some pretty permanent looking signs in the drive-thru, and it's been going on for nearly a year now.
ReplyDeleteLA area.
ReplyDeletedo it in Brush, CO
ReplyDeleteAnybody know if Michigan is doing it?
