News: Dickey's Barbecue - $2 Big Barbecue Chicken Sandwich Mondays

Dickey's Barbecue, the biggest barbecue chain in the U.S., is offering their Big Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches for $2 on every Monday through the end of February.

The sandwich features marinated chicken breast smothered with barbecue sauce with pickles and onions on a buttery toasted bun. The sandwich normally sells for about $5 varying with location.

The deal is limited to two sandwiches per person, per day and is good at participating locations only.

  1. I've never even heard of this chain. Is it any good?

  2. I've never tried Dickey's before. There are a couple locations in southern California but they're still a bit aways from me. It's pretty much a fast casual bbq joint.

  3. Wow, I never would have guessed Dickey's was the biggest barbecue chain in the U.S. I've only seen one in town, and it only opened pretty recently. We already have a pretty major local chain here (Bill Miller's BBQ) and a minor local chain (Grady's BBQ), so I kinda thought Dickey's was just a mom and pop single restaurant.

As for the sandwich, that's sounds like a pretty great deal. Don't know if I'll go tomorrow, but I definitely want to give it a try sometime before the deal ends. It's kinda hard to judge the size of it based on that picture, but if it normally sells for around $5 then I imagine it's somewhat sizable.
