Review: Starbucks - Turkey & Havarti Sandwich

Starbucks' Turkey & Havarti Sandwich features thick-sliced roasted turkey, dill Havarti cheese, lettuce, and scallion mayo on harvest wheat bread.

I bought a sandwich for $5.95.

They kept it short and simple with this and I like it. The ingredients were all pretty high-quality and came with just the right amount.

The turkey was flavorful with a nice, thick, meaty cut. The dill Harvarti complements it well with an herby, creamy flavor that holds up well (it's one of those cheeses I wish was a little bit easier to find, as the dill makes an excellent addition).

The lettuce didn't fare too well in the packaging and was squished flat, but at least it wasn't soggy as is sometimes the case with pre-packaged sandwiches. I could have used just a little more.
Starbucks goes really light with the spreads on their sandwiches (probably due to moisture concerns) and the scallion mayo is no exception. It was really easy to miss the flavor.

The bread was super soft but otherwise plain.

Overall, I enjoyed Starbucks Turkey & Havarti Sandwich quite a bit. They took a standard meat and cheese deli sandwich but upped the quality and added just a few subtle bells and whistles that happen to work.
