Review: Sonic - Breakfast Toaster

Sonic's Breakfast Toaster features American cheese, eggs, and a choice of sausage, bacon or ham on thick Texas toast.

I bought one with bacon for $2.99.

My Breakfast Toaster turned out rather nicely, and had a bit of a homemade feel to it with the way the eggs were fried.

The eggs were nice and fluffy but also had a bit of browning from the flat-top grill. The crispy little edges remind me of eggs you might fry and home.

The bacon provided good coverage but was only occasionally crispy. The flavor was the standard salty smokiness.

The cheese melted thoroughly, which is always nice.

The Texas toast wasn't all that buttery and mostly contributed to the sandwich as thicker than usual toasted white bread.

Overall, Sonic's Breakfast Toaster was a pretty competent execution of the standard breakfast staples. There wasn't too much or too little or any of the three main ingredients and everything turned out fairly well.
