Starbucks Japan Offers New Orange Chocolate Mocha with Orange Whipped Cream

Starbucks Japan hits the winter trail this month with the new Orange Chocolate Mocha and Orange Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino.

The Orange Chocolate Mocha features steamed milk and espresso mixed with mocha syrup and Valencia orange syrup topped with orange whipped cream, orange peel, and orange sugar (that's a lot of orange there).

The Frappuccino version includes the same toppings but blends milk, coffee, and ice with the requisite syrups instead.

The inspiration for the dish are chocolate-covered, candied orange slices.

Prices start at 420 yen (~$3.53 US) for a Short Orange Chocolate Mocha and 520 yen (~$4.37 US) for a Tall Orange Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino. Both drinks are available through February 14, 2015 (which is probably the same day they'll start with a Valentine's Day-themed drink).
