Review: Cookies & Creme Oreos

Cookies & Creme Oreo cookies are like regular Oreo cookies but with bits of Oreo wafers mixed into the vanilla creme.

I bought a 10.7-oz package for $2.99.

Cookies & Creme Oreos have made limited time appearances in years past but are a Kroger exclusive in its current run.

It's not the most inspired flavor as it's basically an Oreo-flavored Oreo. It's like they decided to get some use out of the left over cookie crumbs from baking and packaging.

As you can imagine, they don't really taste much different from regular Oreos. You get the same chocolaty crunch and smooth and sweet vanilla creaminess. Basically, the difference is a fairly even graininess to the creme, something especially noticeable if you like to eat the creme separate from the wafer. Beyond that, there's just a bit more Oreo chocolate flavor to the cookie. It's nice but very familiar.

Overall, Cookies & Creme Oreos are as enjoyable as regular Oreos, unless you mind the graininess of the creme. You might like them even better than the original if you prefer more the slightly dark chocolaty notes of the wafer.
