Review: Wendy's - Baconator Fries

Wendy's Baconator Fries features an order of natural-cut fries topped with warm cheddar cheese sauce, pieces of applewood-smoked bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese.

It's $1.99 for an order but I received this courtesy of Wendy's.

Like a lot of fast food chains, the fries can vary quite a bit in crispiness. Unfortunately for me, they were pretty soft this time around and also heavily salted.

The bacon pieces on the other hand were very crispy with a really nice smoky flavor to them. The pieces were torn rather large, which is nice for the bites where you get them but I'd prefer slightly smaller bits so I can get a little in every bite.

The shredded cheese was nicely melted and, together with the cheddar cheese sauce, offered an enjoyable mild flavor with plenty to go around.

Overall, Wendy's Baconator Fries were pretty nice, especially if you get a nice batch of fries (you can always just request for some fresh out of the fryer). I don't think you can really go wrong with cheese and bacon on fries, and Wendy's bacon is especially good.
