Review: Taco Bell - Cherry Limeade Sparkler

Taco Bell's Cherry Limeade Sparkler
Taco Bell's Cherry Limeade Sparkler along with the Tortada is new to the menu.  It features a blend of Sierra Mist lemon-lime soda, lime juice concentrate, sugar, and natural cherry flavor served over ice with a lime wedge thrown in for good measure.  It is also available in sans natural cherry flavor as a Classic Limeade Sparkler and is priced at $1.69 for 16 ounces and $1.99 for 20 ounces.
How was it?  A bit disappointing, it tastes a lot like a Cherry 7-Up.  Which is fine but not worth the price premium.  They just serve the Limeade Sparklers in a Frutista Freeze cup.

I will admit that the colored cherry syrup on the bottom does create a decent visual effect along with the lime floating around but the drink itself is nothing special.

The cherry flavor was a bit like maraschino cherry syrup.  I would have like a bit more sourness so that it would taste less like soda and more like lime.  The Limeade Sparklers are like Italian sodas but without the variety and with less flavor.

For 30 cents more, I'd rather just get a 16-ounce Frutista Freeze.

  1. My family had the opposite reaction...we LOVE this drink! The cherry isn't reminiscent of maraschino at all in our opinion, and the tartness of the lime is just enough to add that little punch. We are hooked, I can't pass by a Taco Bell without stopping for a cherry limeade!
