News: New Rold Gold Peanut Butter Dipped Pretzels for Holidays

Frito Lay makes a yearly offering of various dipped Rold Gold pretzels around the holiday season and this year, they've added new Rold Gold Peanut Butter Dipped Tiny Twists.

They're labeled as "peanut butter coated pretzels" but also "artificially flavored" so I guess it's some combination of the two.

The rest of the Rold Gold holiday line up is as follows:

- Rold Gold Classic Dipped Tiny Twists - featuring a fudge coating

- Rold Gold Dark Dipped Bavarian Twists - covered in dark fudge

- Rold Gold Peppermint Dipped Snowflakes - coated in peppermint-flavored white fudge

- Rold Gold White Dipped Honey Braided Twists - covered in plain white fudge.

  1. I haven't seen the white chocolate one around yet, but of the others the dark chocolate is the best! The peanut butter one is my second favorite.

Unfortunately my local stores ran out of them and don't seem to be restocking. I wish I had bought more than one bag of each.

  2. I've been unable to find them as well, Jamie. I did consider a $17 bag online... they really are /that/ good! Does anyone know if there's a way to learn if Frito-Lay has stopped distributing them in a particular area?? I wonder if maybe they simply don't sell them here now. Last year, they'd already been out long before now... :(

  3. During that "Pick a flavor" thing Lays was doing, I asked a Frito-Lay delivery person why we never got any of the three flavors. (We didn't get our first bags of them until months after the contest ended.) He explained that they send product to the furthest location first (so, say, the east coast), then if that location doesn't need more, they send it to the next furthest. Then if those two don't need more, the next furthest. So for a popular item, the east coast will need to be restocked before the west coast gets it for the first time.

  4. ! Oh! Well, that's certainly interesting. If that's the case, I guess I shouldn't give up hope too quickly then. Good to know.
