Review: General Mills - Caramel Bugles

General Mills' Caramel Bugles embraces the sweet and salty trend that apparently some consumers are hankering for. They feature the bugle-shaped corn crisps coated with caramel.

A 6-ounce bag was $1.50 on sale.

When I first tried original Bugles as a kid, I thought they were way too salty but had a nice corn chip flavor and airy crunch. These are much less salty than original Bugles.

I wasn't sure what to make of the caramel when I saw it, but the combination is really good! It's like buttery caramel popcorn crossed with lightly salted Bugles.

The result is a fried corn crunch mixed with light toffee flavor.

Overall, General Mills' Caramel Bugles were surprisingly good! It's like a twist on butter toffee popcorn but with more emphasis on the corn flavor and a bigger crunch.
