Review: General Mills - Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treats

General Mills' Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treats are a cereal bar version of the cinnamon-sugar that's bound together with corn syrup and dipped and drizzled with a creamy "confectionery coating."

A 5.1-ounce box contains 6 bars and I found this one for 90 cents on clearance.

Besides the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, there's also a bit of crisped rice thrown in for added crunch, but it isn't notable from a taste standpoint.

The bar isn't as crispy as regular Cinnamon Toast Crunch but offers the same cinnamon-sugar experience for convenient on-the-go eating. If you've never had Cinnamon Toast Crunch, it's like cinnamon and sugar dusted on crispy wheat cereal.

What I didn't like was the confectionery coating. It's mostly sugar (with some milk and yogurt added) where sugar isn't needed; Cinnamon Toast Crunch is already pretty sweet as it is.

Overall, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is ideal if you have a bit of a sweet tooth and want some on-the-go Cinnamon Toast Crunch action, but if you think the cereal is sweet enough, the coating really pushes it over the edge.
