Review: Nabisco - Oatmeal Chewy Chips Ahoy Cookies

Nabisco's Oatmeal Chewy Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies are soft-baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

A 13-oz package was $2.50 on sale.

There are a lot of rolled oats in these. So much so that they make the cookies feel slightly chunky rather than chewy as well as a little more crumbly than the standard Chewy Chips Ahoy. They remain the same size though.

You can't miss the oats' flavor either, as it's here in full force along with the slightly caramelized notes of the cookie and the semisweet chocolate chips.

Overall, Oatmeal Chewy Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies are nice enough, but I can't help but think they would have been better as regular Chips Ahoys, where the coarser texture of the oats would have fit in better. I like oatmeal cookies but these turned out to be a fairly average rendition.
