Review: Jack in the Box - Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie

Jack in the Box's Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie features a chocolate-cookie crust with Reese's Peanut Butter filling, topped with crumbled Reese's Peanut Butter Cups as well as a chocolaty drizzle.

I picked one up for $1.99.

These are almost identical to the Edwards brand pie you can find in supermarkets (the only notable difference is the supermarket version has an extra bit of whipped cream along the crust) as they are both produced by Schwan's.

The chocolate-cookie crust has a dark chocolate note very similar to Oreos and provides a nice crispy crunch.

The filling is light and creamy with a just a touch of peanut butter to it.

The pie's most intense flavors are found up top where the semi-frozen pieces of Reese's Peanut Cups deliver that signature combo of crumbly peanut butter and milk chocolate as well as a slight bit of crunch. Additional chocolaty support comes from the solid, smooth chocolaty drizzle.

Overall, Jack in the Box's Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie delivers a wonderful combination of chocolate and peanut butter and keeps it interesting with an enjoyable mix of crunchy and smooth textures.
