It was $2.49 for the biscuit and $3.69 for the burrito, but I got the burrito courtesy of Carl's Jr.
The chorizo comes in crumbled bits about the same size as ground beef in tacos tends to be. There's a nice, heavily-seasoned porky flavor to them as well as a medium-level, spicy kick. It reminds me a little of taco seasoning.
From the product photos, it seems for the Chorizo, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, the chorizo is supposed to be mixed in with the egg to make an omelet but mine were placed on top of the egg in a little pile after it had set and was folded inside. As a result, my biscuit sandwich had a lot of chorizo on one half and nearly none on the other.
Other than that, the egg was cooked to order and the cheese added a nice creaminess, which worked well with the buttery, crusty biscuit.
The Chorizo, Egg & Cheese Burrito is a good deal larger than the biscuit sandwich and, beyond being wrapped in a flour tortilla, offered up Hash Rounds and pico de gallo as key differences from the biscuit.
The Hash Rounds were actually slightly crunchy (as opposed to soggy from the burrito's enclosed heat), but the pico de gallo lacked its normal tanginess. The cheese, chorizo, and egg offered enjoyable flavors but were jumbled and uneven inside the burrito.
Overall, the chorizo in Carl's Jr.'s Chorizo, Egg & Cheese Biscuit and Burrito was excellent. It's a nice change up from the more standard breakfast meats. The burrito offered a bit more variety, but the flavor of the egg and chorizo don't shine through so well. Because of that, while both were pretty good, I preferred the simpler biscuit sandwich.
