Review: Dairy Queen - Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie Blizzard

Dairy Queen's Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie Blizzard features vanilla soft serve with pieces of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and graham pie crust mixed in, topped off with a dollop of whipped cream. It's this month's Blizzard of the Month.

A mini-sized cup was $3.39 at the mall (but they gave me a small cup because they ran out of minis)

Like most Blizzards, there's a nice thick texture and creamy flavor. The Reese's lends a light peanut butter flavor that's punched up a notch when you come across some of the bigger pieces. There were some sizable chocolate chunks from the edges of the peanut butter cups that deliver a bit of crunch and a good bit of chocolate flavor.

Additional crunch came from the pie crust and the collective effect was a little more reminiscent of a Butterfinger than Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. There were only a few big pieces of pie crust though; the rest were small crumbs.

Overall, Dairy Queen's Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie Blizzard made for a very enjoyable, and crunchy, peanut butter-chocolate combo. Interesting, it felt a little more chocolaty than peanut buttery.
