Review: Nabisco - Birthday Frosting Filled Chips Ahoy Cookies

Birthday Frosting Filled Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies feature a white frosting with confetti nonpareils core inside of a soft-baked chocolate and confetti chip cookie.

A 9.6-oz package set me back $2.79.

These are very similar to the recently released Oreo Creme Filled Chips Ahoy cookies (which I tried the other day); the consistency and taste of the creme is mostly the same, but the birthday cake frosting feels just a little sweeter (maybe because of the little candies in it).

If you like confetti cake frosting, you'll get a pretty good taste of it here. It's a little pastier than frosting but the taste is spot on. There's a thin puck of it of about the same size as you'd find in an Oreo. If you like these and they end up discontinuing it, you can easily just buy some Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies and a can of confetti icing for the same flavor.

The little rainbow colored chips that are mixed into the cookie reinforce the confetti frosting feel with that same sugary taste.

Overall, Chips Ahoy Birthday Frosting Filled Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies are pretty good. They're especially great if you're a fan of confetti frosting and the flavor of it goes pretty well with the chocolate chip cookie. I like the Oreo Creme Filled ones a little better though.
