Domino's Korea Debuts "Healthy" Multi-Grain Pizza

Domino's South Korea is going for a healthy image with the new 15 Kinds of Multi Grain Dough Sweet Potato Pizza, which boasts a crust containing fifteen different grains.

Yes, that really is the official name of the pizza. At least you can't fault Domino's Korea for not being extremely descriptive.

The advertising focuses on the health benefits of the numerous grains comprising the crust, such as offering additional vitamins, minerals, and fiber to help with well-being and digestion, while simultaneously delivering a hearty chew and full flavor.

Some of the grains included in the dough are barley, black rice, brown rice, glutinous rice, and sorghum. The crust also contains non-grain ingredients such as white beans and perilla, which are apparently considered a grain for the purposes of the advertising campaign.

Alongside the special crust, the 15 Kinds of Multi Grain Dough Sweet Potato Pizza features a sweet potato mousse topping that's a combination of pureed sweet potato and pumpkin. It also comes topped with a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, red onions, bacon, jalapenos, sliced almonds, and parsley for a sweet and savory flavor profile.

Sweet potato is actually a fairly common topping and ingredient for pizza in South Korea, so the draw centers heavily on the healthiness of the multi-grain crust.

A medium pizza goes for 22,500 Won (~$20.21 US) whereas a large sells for 27,900 Won (~$25.07 US).
