Review: S'mores Oreo Cookies

S'mores Oreo cookies feature a dual-layered filling of marshmallow- and chocolate-flavored creme sandwiched by graham-flavored wafers.

I bought a 10.7-oz package for $2.99.

The wafers have the same crispy texture as the vanilla ones found in Golden Oreos but with an enjoyable amount of graham cracker flavor. Eaten without the creme, there's that honeyed taste to them but it's all but covered up by the sweetness of the creme filling.

The creme filling tastes almost the same as their regular vanilla creme. I had a really hard time making out any chocolate flavor here. It's just mostly very sweet.

Overall, S'mores Oreos are tasty enough but don't really capture the flavor of s'mores. They certainly look the part but don't do enough to distinguish themselves from Golden Oreos. At the very least, they need to up the chocolate flavor to move closer to s'mores territory. Your best bet might be to just scrape off the creme and put a marshmallow and piece of chocolate between the wafers yourself.
