Taco Bell to Remove Artificial Flavors and Colors from Food by End of 2015

Taco Bell plans to remove all artificial flavors and colors from their food by the end of this year, in addition to the removal of added trans fat and unsustainable palm oil.

The removal will affect more than 95 percent of Taco Bell's food items but will not include beverages (i.e. soda) and co-branded items (such as the Doritos Locos Taco and Cinnabon Delights).

Taco Bell is also looking into the removal of artificial preservatives and additives "where possible" by the end of 2017.

The move follows a similar pledge by Panera Bread.
