Taco Bell Testing Collider Tacos

Taco Bell is testing new variants of the Double Decker Taco that they're calling "Collider Tacos." They're so-named because they "collide" two contrasting flavors and/or textures.

The tacos were spotted here in Southern California by one of my readers. There are two Collider Tacos being tested: "Cheesy + Crunch" and "Spicy + Cool."

The Cheesy + Crunch Collider Taco features a flour tortilla with a Crunchy Taco inside held together by a layer of nacho cheese and melted shredded cheese. Beside the standard lettuce, shredded cheese, and seasoned beef of a Taco Bell Crunchy Taco, you'll also find cheese-flavored corn chips.

The Spicy + Cool Collider Taco features the same flour tortilla and Crunchy Taco but is held together by a layer of chipotle sauce rather than nacho cheese plus melted shredded cheese. Instead of corn chips, you'll find sour cream inside of it.

The Collider Tacos are being offered at 99 cents a piece during testing and can also be found in a Big Box combo, which includes a Collider Taco of choice, a Crunchy Taco, a Burrito Supreme, and a medium drink for $5.99.

They're being offered in at least one Taco Bell here in Southern California at:

16431 Bolsa Chica St, Huntington Beach, CA 92649
