Review: Starbucks - Bottled Unsweetened Iced Coffee

Starbucks' Bottled Unsweetened Iced Coffee features 1.5 quarts of their brewed coffee so you can add sugar and cream or what not to your liking.

It got a bottle for $4 on sale.

I tried this plain and then with some milk and sugar.

It's very neutral right out of the bottle. If there aren't any harsh notes, there isn't any liveliness either. It was flat but coffee-ish. I guess you can consider it the blank slate of packaged coffee drinks.

It opened up a little with milk but was still pretty plain. A teaspoon (or two) of sugar didn't just add sweetness but also helped accentuate the coffee a fair bit.

Overall, Starbucks Bottled Unsweetened Iced Coffee was too lackluster and just okay for me as a result. It's smooth but there's just not much in the way of nuance or flavor. I guess it's fine if you like to add flavored syrups to your coffee.
