Review: Chick-fil-A - Chicken Tortilla Soup

Chick-fil-A's Chicken Tortilla Soup features shredded boneless chicken breast, navy and black beans, a blend of vegetables (including onions, corn, bell peppers, celery), a variety of spices in a cream-based soup, topped with seasoned tortilla strips.

It's $3.99 for a good-sized cup but I received this courtesy of Chick-fil-A.

This is actually more of a stew rather than soup; it's quite hearty and chock full of beans (mostly navy).

For a chicken-based soup, it didn't come with much chicken, with a few shredded bits here and there. Instead, the beans supply a bulk of the flavor supplemented by chicken, vegetables, and a good spicy kick.

The chips add a nice crunch, but I wished they provided some shredded cheddar or jack cheese to melt on top. I suppose it might be slightly redundant since it's a cream-based soup.

Overall, Chick-fil-A's Chicken Tortilla Soup tasted good, but it was more of a spicy bean stew than a chicken tortilla soup. For the price, I'd rather get one of their delectable Chicken Sandwiches and save a few cents. But, if it's cold out, the soup does warm you up and fill your tummy quite nicely.
